Since moving to the French Riviera, brocante shopping has become a little obsession of mine. Every Monday, the Cours Saleya in Nice transforms into a marché à la brocante, when the food and flower markets make way for an incredible array of antiques ranging from furniture, jewellery and books to vintage clothing and ornaments preserved from a bygone era. This is a collection of some of my favourite finds from many Monday strolls down one of my favourite streets in Nice.
An elegant dinner setting of Royal Doulton English Fine Bone China in Belvedere with a sage colour banding and gold trim. Definitely a collector’s choice as Belvedere-design was discontinued in the late 80’s. Set is in an excellent condition without any cracks, chips and crazing.
