BOSCIA HOUSE
POP-UP
SINCE FIRST OPENING DOORS IN 2021 RESTAURANT KLEIN JAN HAS BEEN A HIGHLIGHT FOR MANY GUESTS, EARNING NUMEROUS AWARDS AND SHARING THE RAW BEAUTY OF AFRICA WITH DINERS FROM ALL OVER THE GLOBE. HOWEVER, RECENT FLOODING IN LOW-LYING AREAS OF THE TSWALU KALAHARI HAS LED TO THE TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE RESTAURANT.
There are exciting plans in the pipeline to reopen the Klein JAN space with a new dining concept, but in the interim we are pleased to introduce the Boscia House pop-up, an alternative dining experience in a restored, century-old cottage named after the venerable shepherd’s trees (Boscia albitrunca) that define Tswalu’s semi-arid landscape.
Curated by the JAN team with the same inspiration and love of heritage dining that informs the Klein JAN experience, this intimate setting offers a menu rooted in hyper-local, seasonal ingredients, and the assurance of generous Northern Cape hospitality.
The Boscia House pop-up experience is complimentary for all guests staying at least two nights. Seating is limited, and dinner is by invitation only. Unfortunately, it cannot be reserved for a specific evening. Parental discretion is advised for children younger than 12.
