Introducing JAN Rosé: A New Chapter in the JAN Wine Collection

This spring marks the arrival of something beautifully new, and delightfully pink. In collaboration with La Motte, we’re proud to introduce the JAN Grenache Mourvèdre Cinsault Shiraz, the latest addition to the JAN Wine Collection, and our very first rosé.
Creating this wine felt like a natural extension of one of my favourite philosophies: that life is best celebrated through taste and meaningful moments. Rosé has always embodied this spirit in a special way, it invites you to slow down, savour, and connect. It’s the wine of long lunches, good conversation, and warm afternoons; a wine that doesn’t take itself too seriously, yet carries depth and sophistication in every sip.
Light, elegant, and full of possibility, the JAN Grenache Mourvèdre Cinsault Shiraz captures the very essence of this season, a time for new beginnings, fresh inspiration, and joyful gatherings around the table. After months of refining this wine with La Motte’s cellar master, the result is a beautifully balanced rosé: remarkably rounded on the palate for a dry style, with vibrant aromas of melon, grapefruit, and nectarine, and a delicate hint of candy floss in its youth. Its lingering finish reveals layers of fresh stone fruit, bright, refreshing, and effortlessly graceful.
From sun-soaked terraces in the Côte d’Azur to picnics in the Cape, rosé is more than a drink, it’s a state of mind. It’s versatile, vibrant, and food-friendly, pairing as comfortably with a delicate seafood salad as it does with a rustic Provençal tart or fragrant Cape-inspired dishes. That balance between freshness and finesse makes rosé one of the most expressive and companionable wines for food, its pale hue may whisper summer, but its character speaks to all seasons.
For us, crafting a rosé was the next natural step in the JAN Wine Collection, a way to celebrate the lighter, more playful side of fine winemaking, without losing the artistry and depth that define our approach. This wine reflects the joy of discovery and the beauty of simple pleasures shared with others.
