JAN the Journal Volume 13, JAN VOYAGE WIN, Terms and Conditions
TERMS AND CONDITIONS: This Competition (the “Competition”) is organised by JAN (Pty) Ltd, 1st Floor Willowbridge Centre, 39 Carl Cronje Drive, Tyger Valley, 7560 (the “Promoter”). All participants (“Participants”) in this Competition shall be subject to these Terms and Conditions. By participating in this Competition, Participants warrant that they have read and agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions: .
1.This Competition runs between 1 August and 20 August 2024. Entries close on 20 August 2024.
2.This Competition is only open to South African residents with valid passports for international travel.
3.To enter, participants must purchase a copy of JAN the Journal Volume 13 from either JANONLINE.COM or one of our retail partners, take a picture of themselves with their Journal in their most cherished reading or relaxing spot and share it on social media tagging #travelgiveaway @janhendrikvanderwesthuizen, @janthejournal and @jan.voyage.
4.The winner will be randomly selected and notified on 21 August 2024. Due to the time sensitivity of the prize, if the winner does not respond by 26 August 2024 they forfeit their prize and another winner will be selected.
5.Employees of JAN (Pty) Ltd and their immediate family and friends, are not permitted to enter this Competition.
6. The winner will receive
(i)The full JAN Voyage package for 2 people.
(ii) VISA costs if applicable.
(iii) Return flights from Cape Town or Johannesburg to Nice for 2 people.
(iv) Transfer costs in France from the airport to Nice and back to the airport. (v) Hotel in Nice for the evening prior to the JAN Voyage.
7.Own costs:
(i) Travellers are required to have a valid passport, JAN (Pty) Ltd is not liable for the cost of passport applications or renewals.
(ii) Local transfer costs to airports in South Africa
(iii) Meals and beverages outside of the JAN Voyage Tour itinerary (iv) Local transfer costs to VFS Global centre for VISA application in South Africa if applicable
8.The judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into. If a winner chosen does not comply, their entry will be disqualified, and a new winner will be selected by JAN (Pty) Ltd.
9.The prize cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash or any other prizes or JAN experiences.
10.JAN (Pty) Ltd will not be held liable for entries not received for any reason whatsoever and will not be responsible for network connectivity or hardware issues experienced while participating.
11. JAN (Pty) Ltd will not be held liable in instances where international travel from South Africa to France or vice versa is compromised by acts of nature or any other unforeseen challenges that may arise and restrict or compromise international travel.
12.In an instance where international travel is deemed impossible due to unforeseen circumstances, a secondary suitable prize will be offered by JAN (Pty) Ltd. This secondary prize will not necessarily be of the same value as the initially proposed prize.
13.Jan (Pty) Ltd reserves the right to cancel or amend the Competition and these Terms and Conditions without notice.
14. Entry into this Competition will be deemed as acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
15. This competition is open to residents of South Africa only, except for employees of JAN (Pty) Ltd and anyone else professionally connected with the promotion.
16.By entering this competition, you give permission to JAN (Pty) Ltd to use and share your image for marketing and promotional purposes related to the competition.
