JAN the Journal Volume 9 Golden Ticket Terms and Conditions
TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
- This Competition (the “Competition”) is organised by JAN Innovation Studio (Pty) Ltd, 87 Kloof Street, 1st Floor Gardens, Cape Town (the “Promoter”) and Spekko (Pty) Ltd. All participants (“Participants”) in this Competition shall be subject to these Terms and Conditions. By participating in this Competition, Participants warrant that they have read and agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions:
- To enter, participants must either order a copy of JAN the Journal Volume 9 from JANonline.com and redeem the Golden Ticket that is placed in three randomly selected copies, between the months of August and November 2022, or they must purchase a copy of JAN the Journal Volume 9 from Checkers or on the Checkers Sixty60 app and use a Checkers Xtra Savings card during check-out during the months of September and November 2022.
- Upon the discovery of a Golden Ticket in their copy of JAN the Journal Volume 9, ticket recipients must contact the JAN Innovation Studio with their details via innovation@janhendrik.com. Winners selected via Checkers Xtra Savings purchases of JAN the Journal Volume 9 will be contacted directly. If the winner who receives a Golden Ticket in their JANonline.com purchase does not contact JAN Innovation Studio they forfeit their spot in the running for the grand prize. If a winner selected via a Checkers purchase is contacted and does not respond within forty eight hours they will likewise forfeit their spot in the running for a grand prize.
- There will be a total of six finalists, three from JANonline.com purchases and three from Checkers purchases using Checkers Xtra Savings cards. Finalists will be announced monthly via JANonline.com digital platforms.
- The Grand prize draw of the Final Prize Winner will take place on social media in December 2022 at a date and time still to be announced.
- Employees of Spekko, Checkers, JAN Innovation Studio and their immediate family and friends, are not permitted to enter this Competition.
- The winner will be randomly selected from one of the six Golden Ticket entrants (three from JANonline.com purchases and three from Checkers purchases) contacted between August and November 2022, by the JAN Innovation Studio team.
- The winner will receive (i) Return flights for two people from either Johannesburg or Cape Town to Tswalu Kalahari Reserve where Restaurant Klein JAN is located (ii) airport transfers for two people from the airport to Tswalu (iii) two nights’ accommodation including meals for two people at a Tswalu location selected by the Klein JAN team (iv) a meal for two at Klein JAN.
- Participants must be able to travel from and return to either Cape Town or Johannesburg only.
- The prize will be redeemable for up to 12 months from the date of announcement of the winner, which will occur in December 2022 latest.
- Travel and stay dates are subject to availability.
- Winners must notify the JAN team at least 6 weeks ahead of their intended stay and travel dates in order to allow for the JAN team to make the necessary arrangements.
- Flights are subject to an existing scheduled Tswalu charter and are subject to availability.
- The JAN team and Tswalu Kalahari Reserve will not be held liable for last minute disruptions to travel, accommodation etc. for the winner.
- The offer is mutually exclusive and cannot be combined or used in conjunction with any other special rates or promotions offered by Tswalu.
- The prize excludes airport transfer to and from the airports in Cape Town or Johannesburg.
- The judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into. If a winner chosen does not comply, their entry will be disqualified, and a new winner will be selected by JAN Innovation Studio.
- The prize cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash or any other prize.
- JAN Innovation Studio and Spekko will not be held liable for entries not received for any reason whatsoever and will not be responsible for network connectivity or hardware issues experienced while participating.
- Jan Innovation Studio reserves the right to cancel or amend the Competition and these Terms and Conditions without notice.
- Entry into this Competition will be deemed as acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
- The JAN Golden Ticket competition is open to residents of South Africa only, except for employees of JAN Innovation Studio, Checkers, Spekko and anyone else professionally connected with the promotion.
- If the Grand Prize Winner does not confirm acceptance of the grand prize within 48 hours of the announcement, the winner will forfeit the prize and a new winner will be selected.
- Only one winner is selected from the six Golden Ticket entries, and there are no other prizes included for the five remaining.
